Graduation

My younger brother Mckay Graduated from high school last week. I am pretty sure that he is thrilled to be out and while complete independence has some daunting aspects, he has been looking forward to adult life. Congratulations Mckay. You are free to chase after all the dreams you have.

Switch-A-Roo

Remember how back in April I made a to-do list of things I wanted to get done in my home that month. Well I actually got most of them done. I just didn't tell you about them. Including these curtains.

Do they look familiar? They should. I liked them so much that I wanted to see them more often then I would if they were left in the guest/study (oh who am I kidding, craft) room. So I brought them out here into a room where not only I, but everyone who enters my home can see.
I also fixed the problem we have with shoes in our family. For two people we normally have about six pairs of shoes by our front door. This is it on a good day.

And this is it now. Brett can leave out one pait a day and my yellow ones can always be out because they are a bright happy color and therefor part of our decor.

Have a great day. I hope you get something done today that you have wanted to get done for along time.

Clean Counter (Before and After)

We have a lot more counter space in this kitchen then we had in our previous apartment. All the same, the extra BIG microwave and toaster oven made quick work of claiming it all for themselves. So now I have hidden them in the pantry where they don't over run the work surface of my kitchen.

Here are some before and afters.

(You'll have to imagine a huge microwave in next to the microwave oven because there was NO WAY I was hefting that whopper back just to take a picture of it)

Much better thanks to some organizing. Now cooking isn't a cramped situation.

Hugs,
Miss Riss

Lovers Point Photography Session

I finally posted some pictures of a photo shoot I did back in CA. You can see more of them here.
Special thanks to the mom of the family for giving me the opportunity to practice and being so patient while I edited these photos.
